About Me

cropped-img_1186I am Chris Bell-Davis I  was born on December 27, 1994 in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have always had a sunny disposition, seeing the world with a strangely positive outlook. I can usually be found talking to people; strangers and friends alike.
I seldom meet people that I can’t find some aspect of common ground to link our lives, A senior Broadcast Journalism major and Public Relations minor, I will be graduating in December 2017 and plans to enter the world of broadcast. Since I was a small child, I’ve always been fascinated with the news, movies and the uniqueness in everyone’s story.I am passionate about helping others and decided that the best way to help people was to be a celebrity movie star by day and a doctor by night.
Kinda like Batman, but more practical you know? It wasn’t until after being a biology pre-med major for two years in college that I  discovered  passion for journalism.
“Be the change you wish to see in the world”-Gandhi

I heard this quote when I was young and it has become my life motto. For some reason it just stuck with me,

There is beauty in your story. God put you on earth for a purpose and I feel my purpose in life is to encourage, uplift and push others to fulfill their purpose at maximum potential.

Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!

You’ll be seeing great sights!… Garrett

You’ll be on your way up!

You’ll be seeing great sights!
You’ll join the high fliers
who soar to high heights.
You won’t lag behind, because you’ll have the speed.
You’ll pass the whole gang and you’ll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you’ll be best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.

Perception, perspective, perseverance, persistence, philosophy and photography. All words that describe Garrett Sayles. Vision is so important when it comes to chasing dreams. What makes you follow your dreams with such speed? Have you ever met someone who can analyze a rock? Sight helps you see things but vision helps you imagine things.

gs1 When we are little we are told that we can accomplish anything! It’s something about the people who take that and live by that. Your dreams of being a high fashion photographer are not far fetched at all.

The Bible characterizes a dream in Job 33:15, “In a fantasy, in a dream of the night, when profound rest falleth upon men, in slumbering upon the bed;”. A dream is a dream of the night. A vision is something that happens when a man is woke. Continue to turn dreams into visions.

Garrett remember that many people come into you life and try to distract your vision, you must make sure that you keep a close eye on those who seek to keep your dreams in the dark. If someone does not support your dream they are simply not apart of the bigger picture. My father always tells me “A Man without dreams and goals is a dead man.”- Daddy Clint

Close your eyes… now imagine where you want to end up… what do you have on? how does it smell? How does it feel? Are you happy?  Are you tired? No really look with your eyes around the room. Now, all you have to do is figure out when you are going to start heading that way! Guess What?

Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!

How much can you lose? How much can you win?… Shika

shikaYou will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted. But mostly they’re darked.
A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin!
Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in?
How much can you lose? How much can you win?- Dr. Suess

At first I was a little nervous and uncomfortable for the first ten minutes in trying to take in the new atmosphere.” Have you ever met someone with all the power to be anything they wanted to be but they doubted things they could not see clearly? Shika is a beautiful girl who didn’t know that fear and confusion slowed you down. It was only when you started to realize that although sometimes the answer is not clear at first you must make a decision.

shika2Looking back at me in the mirror was an unsure shy young lady with kinky hair.” Shika is one of the smartest, prettiest people I have ever met. She has a beauty that makes you glare a little longer. So why do you doubt your beauty Shika? Beauty is found in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is something that can’t be defined by skin tone or hair texture. “I quickly learned that my hair didn’t really matter, it was the way I presented myself. I started to be more in touch with discovering my own style and fashion.”

Uncertainty is an affair normal to all individuals. Indeed, even those with confidence in God battle with uncertainty once in awhile in the Bible Mark 9:24 says, “I do trust; help me defeat my unbelief!”. A few people are prevented extraordinarily by uncertainty; some consider it to be a springboard to life; and others consider it to be an impediment to be overcome. working meaning of uncertainty is “to need certainty, to consider improbable.” Shika is from an beautiful island called Dominica. A place rich with culture a people so full of life and who are so comfortable with themselves. shika 4

“At first I was a little nervous and uncomfortable for the first ten minutes in trying to take in the new atmosphere. I paid all this money for a costume that revealed so much of my body and I didn’t know if I was ready for the attention I would receive or how I would feel wearing it. The costume looked cute online when I ordered it, but I didn’t think I was brave enough to wear the bikini costume.”

Although sometimes the answer is not clear at first you must make a decision. Only after deciding which way you’ll go will you find out if you’ll win or loss. So after reading this ask yourself why am I doubting and not just doing? Guess what?

Congratulations! Today is your day. You’re off to Great Places! You’re off and away!

oh, the places you’ll go… Evan

“You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy you’ll decide where to go.”-Dr. Suess

Have you ever met someone fearless? Not afraid to take on the world. It doesn’t take a plan but simply a small notion of getting up and going. From New York to Arkansas, Arkansas to Mississippi, L.A. to Texas, Alabama to Louisiana, Greece to Italy, Japan to Florida where haven’t you been Evan? Who haven’t you met? Where do you want to end? IMG_2538

21, with a degree from The Jackson State University. Evan is going to change the world just you wait and see! With a passion for helping others so strong it seems to be tugging him in the direction of medical school to become a pediatrician and practice in rural areas. Adventure should be Evan’s middle name because where there is an adventure to be had there he is swinging from a vine like Tarzan. Whether it be jumping off high cliffs into unknown waters of Arkansas or travelling to countries like Japan speaking little to none Japanese. You walk into a room full of strangers and command their attention as if they were lifelong friends you just haven’t seen in a minute.

Graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.8 GPA, Evan’s involvement is quite incredible: NAACP, Gentleman’s Academy, Pre-Alumni Council, Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, Phi Beta Lambda, Alpha Phi Alpha, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. (It was tiring for me just typing all of that and that’s not even the whole list, but you get the message.) Somehow you found that balance that every college kid wants between social life and scholastics. Up is the only way to go with all your awards and achievements you can only go up from here. It only takes one conversation and that devilish smile and people decide to change their plans so they can be in your presence for awhile. You know that you got it so don’t play coy, meeting new people is like discovering a new favorite toy.

The man people wish they could be (if I wasn’t so fly, maybe even me) just remain humble how hard can that be? A very big appetite and you see the world full of color. Evan Peters, there is the only one you, I’ve looked and can’t find another.

After reading this how will you make the world your playground? What adventure will you find for yourself?

Congratulations! Today is your day! You are will on your way! Oh, the Places you’ll go!
